I eventually reached La.1, still bent over with the mailbox. As I took the picture
I watched carefully to make sure I was not attacked by the addressee.
I turned north onto La.1195. La.1195 deteriorated. The Red River was over
to left. There wasn't much to the right. The road got sandy and Mz. Guzzi almost bolted. Where she'd bolt to, I wouldn't know.
Needing some memorabilia from this improtant strecth of the trip. I took the above and below pictures.  Filler? Your call.
No Levee Riding now. Bubba's eatin'.
After crossing the Red River Bridge, I continued northwest on La.107.
Which got me to Georgetown on US 165. Yes, I am hurrying the sun was setting.
When I envolve a place Barry is familiar with, the gates of knowledge open wide. Below is most all there is  to know about Georgetown. His words.
"That pinkish building used to be Williams Grocery and Hardware a long time ago. It's now the library (which I find funny) and the upper is for the Mason lodge. Not much else in Georgetown"
He had mentioned in an earlier post that the fried chicken at the gas station is greasy.
After seeing this picture, Barry added, "The RR still goes through Georgetown north and south and there used to be a railroad that went east and west".
I had pretty much guessed the "north and south" information from seeing a train in the middle of town. But, I was glad to know that there was a train route east of town since, well you'll see.  He added this
LINK.
Also, "The place is a speed trap for outsiders".
I was watched while taking the train picture. I felt it.
