I've been coming into Mississippi from East Louisiana for a while. I'm starting to make ruts just as the pioneers did. One of the landmarks on the trail into MS is her first town on US 51. |
The state line between many southern states marks dry and wet counties. Evidently the "dry" entity, a parish in this case, was on the Louisiana side. The Other Side, being on the other side of the line, serviced the thirsty crowd. I remember those times. |
