Last month we took down the collected hurricane supplies to a warehouse around New Orleans.  It was a sad situation down there.  There were only eight people, all of them older, working in the warehouse trying to keep it running.  They were so far behind, it wasn't funny.  They just couldn't keep up.  The only conference that has really been helping is Michigan.  California has also helped a little.

Today during church Jason Bledsoe was made an honorary Corporal.  We also had a meeting today after church to plan our meetings and events through June.

I apologize for the lack of updates.  Here is what we have been up to lately:
Since our trip to eastern Ohio, we have had the opportunity to collect supplies for hurricane victims along the Gulf coast.  We are still looking for a way to package the supplies and ship them to warehouses in the area.  Hopefully that will be done soon.  We are also looking into going down to the Gulf coast to help as needed.

Last month, we decided that we would look into CERT and ARC training.  A couple of our members have been delegated to do so.  After we get the information that they have gathered we will decided if we will go for that training.  We also decided to look into the "Adopt a Highway program."

We are also trying to schedule another training weekend for March 24-26, 2006.  If you would like to be apart of it, find the poster and application on the front p
age.

We have been featured in a Youth magazine article for the the Adventist Church. Insight Magazine used a picture of one of our members, Heather Davis,  cleaning at the Good Neighbor House.

We also went to Eastern Ohio to East Liverpool to help the East Liverpool SDA Church in a roofing project for one of their shut-ins. We were there from August 11-14. We roofed the back of a house and also helped Social Services with a rental proporty.

Right now we are planning to start monthly meetings in September as well as community service even
ts.
