Winter Trees
mWinter trees I see
out my window
Alone they stand
embracing the cold of
winters snow.
I cannot help but compose for them
and their solitary journey
all blanketed with snow.

Longing for spring
they will faithfully express themselves
and become lifelike
again.
Rejoicing in the warmth
of golden sushine
they bloom again
with the budding of the leaves.
Lending their blanket of cover
all around
with comforting shade.

Even the morning birds come
gathering
singing precious songs
as the sun rises on your morning
my love.

'For even I
am much like winter trees
standing firm;  steadfast
against the cold of
winters snow
Waiting patiently for
the season the change

'For only you my love
can release
my warm loving heart
and bring forth
the budding of my tender leaves
and shade the ground
where you'll always find
peace and comfort
on your pillow of dreams
in my loving arms
