Evening time I behold
and think often
of a story I am told
About true love and how it goes
"True love comes to those that wait"
it's far from heavans gate
for it is here on earth
with one's dear mate

Time ebbs onward
twightlight years come
heartsongs ring with words
of golden rhymn.
Memories gather
about those we care for
long into the night
when the feeling
is
right

A silent hour I spend
in my lifes' chair
under my tree.
For I feel
you are there
beneath the branches
of my
growing
soul

My Lord reaches down
to my lonely heart
and forgives me, gracing me
with his presence.
And his hands lift me
to a more pure
and
enduring life

One in which only he and I
will ever know
the road I will must travel.
While all the world
around me
begins to unravel.
He is my guiding light
all during the day
and long
into the night

I am safe in his love
and warm in his gentle flame
i have accepted him inside.
And my life will never
be the same..
