Ashton's the first male character you can recruit. He's the guy with the Dragons connected to his back. Yeah. Not the girl. Anyways he's the mercenary who was going to slay the Demon Dragon but Claude and company distract him and the dragon fuses itself with the young man. Well, after the fusion the mercenary and dragon are no where in sight. But just when you least expected it, Ashton comes out of the blue and questions the group if they had seen where the dragon went. Rena tells him that they were on his back. Well, big surprise, they WERE! So Ashton immediately demands the group to aid him in the search of a way of excorcism. The group declined and tried to make a run for it, but if you know Ashton, you would know that when he's determined he will do anything. After Ashton catches them he forces himself in the group and the journey for excorcism begins.
ANIME
Claude, Rena, and Celine meet Ashton on their way to Herlie. On their way they pass a group of men standing near a cave. They question Claude to see if he's a swordsman. Well, the stupid jerk said yes and got himself and not to mention poor Rena and Celine dragged into the cave. Inside they see Ashton and the "Soutou Ryu" two headed dragon duking it out! Claude tries to offer some help but as stubborn as Ashton is he declines, stating that he doesn't need help. Well on his 'final' attack Ashton trips on a rock and the Demon Dragon fuses itself with him. Ashton looks around and starts gloating about how he must have scared the dragon away but instead Rena blows the dragon's cover by telling Ashton that it's right on his back. Ashton starts freaking out and demands the group to "take them off" since he was 'protecting' them. The group reluctantly agrees and they set out to find a way of excorcism
GENERAL
Well, Ashton is one of the best characters believe it or not. He has this thing for barrels and he virtually sucks in every skill. The only thing he IS really good in is cooking. But he is good in fighting. His Killer Moves are both a blessing and a curse. They are usually very strong but he takes too long to execute them. If you get him you can't recruit Opera and obviously Ernest.
