Who will account for the blood of those people?
"In a world preparing to enter the 21st Century, who is going to make use of the declaration of April 24, the Commemoration Day of the Armenian Genocide?" we should ask the French deputies. What will this decision provide to Armenia, suffering with great economical problems? What will it bring to the Turkish-French relations which have been put on the right track recently? It is impossible to understand how the socialist party which has great historical experiences and has ruled France for a long time, had become the tool of the Armenian lobby guided by Yerevan. How could the French parliament dare to accomplish such an act which could disturb Turkey and might effect the relations negatively ? We do not believe that the sensible warning letter sent by the Prime Minister Yylmaz to the French Prime Minister will be useful. Because, according to the information available to us, there blows a strong wind in favour of the approval of this decision in the French Parliament. Thus the result of today’s voting will be in favour of the Armenians, unless a miracle happens. There is no indication up to now that the French parliamentarians, unaware of historical facts, will act by using their reasons.

Whereas the historical documents expose that no such genocide had been committed. On the contrary, the archives indicate that the officials of the Ottoman Empire have acted very sensitively for the personal security and the properties of the Armenian citizens. However, it is a fact that due to the conditions of war at that time, some grievous incidents had happened in Eastern Anatolia The government, despite all of its good will, could not prevent those incidents. Nevertheless, in the archives there are documents indicating that these unpleasant incidents which ended up with deaths happened on both sides. It is known that the Armenian gangs slaughtered innumerable people on Turkish territories and stabbed the Ottoman army in the back. In that occasion, the government, which had to secure the front behind its army, was obliged to shift the Armenian people in those regions to somewhere else. In this atmosphere, during the so-called "Tehcir" (deportation) process, unfortunate incidents have been experienced. The bandits in the mountains and some evil-minded officials committed murders aiming robbery. However, the "Turks massacred 2 million Armenians" propaganda which the Armenians have been trying to spread all around the world is a made-up story by itself. Because, both Ottoman and foreign documents indicate that the whole Armenian population living on the Ottoman territory at that time was only 1,5 million. Turkey has always explained the historical facts based on documents in every forum and argument. The fact that the Ottoman Empire did not committed a massacre has been proved scientifically. The Ottoman archives have become available to the scientists all over the world. The impartial historians have examined these documents and come to the conclusion that there never happened a genocide. However, despite all these efforts, Turkey could not persuade the West. Because, the majority of the West blamed Turkey on this subject right from the beginning. The current situation in France is a proof of this fact. The French parliament is preparing to play the judge on behalf of history.
"Do not you have remorse over the blood of Turkish diplomats shot by the Armenian terrorists all around the world, including the very center of Paris?" we should ask the French parliamentarians.
