| In early makeup tests, we experimented with everything from rotten flesh and exposed veins to scars and prosthetics for the main characters. The reference photos that Nolan took were lost due to a malfunctioning hard drive halfway through the process, but luckily our dedicated makeup artists and actors had already been through this hellish process enough to remember the specifics. | |||||||||
