| Dear Journal, Wow... I went into the future just a bit... put 20032 as the date lol. NEways, today is Holy Thursday. So, as you can imagine, I'm pretty excited. Easter is coming up... and it is my favorite Holiday. Thought I'd come in and write some before supper becuase I have Church tonight & if I wait... I prob wouldn't get to write for quite awhile lol. So.. new news? Of course. Why else would I be writing lol? Lets see where to begin. We had our meeting Weds. night. Everyone exept Dustin was there (he had to work) so that was great. Which brings up... Jill is back on the team! Which we are all happy about of course. It's sad that she doesn't get to go to China, pero at the same time... SARS would not be a good thing to get, so we're kinda glad they canceled it in that respect. Mostly we just went over the main information for Jill (and us as well), and took a test over conflict resolution. Heath took the test we did last time while we were doing ours though. Some of the things we went over were plane tickets & flight info., passports & visas, shots, clothing, devo's, rooms & fundraising. Plane tickets/Flight info.? Well, to begin with the tickets are going to be less than expected. WHich is always a good thing. Instead of $1500 they will be around $1250. Not sure specifically pero still.. that's the new estimate. Amy is still talking to Shafik about getting them in & all that. It looks like Dustin, Jill & I will be either leaving from here or Dallas. Amy, Barbara, Richard & Heath are still leaving from South Carolina. Maria & Wess of course are leaving from Tennessee. We will be meeting up in Amsterdam at the airport. Who ever gets there first, goes to the next one's gate. As for the date, it's around May 19th.. not exactly sure still.... Heath is hoping for a few days later... Thoroughly (sp I know) freaked me out by pulling a date out of the air that wasn't too nice. Not his fault (he didn't know) pero still. As soon as we get spec. there, which hopefully will be soon I'll let ya know. Passports & Visas? Well... Of course Amy, Barbara & I have ours lol. Jill does too, which is great. Richard... poor Richard... He sent off for his, pero didn't have the right amount of money.. Sent in again & they lost his stuff... So he's trying again. I think today. Heath hasn't sent off for his yet.... still needs to do that... hopefully soon lol. I have no clue about Dustin of course... As for visa's we are getting them at the border so to speak. Amy is going to find out if we need to have applications ready when we get there or not (I think she's asking Ken), either way I already have one ready lol, so I'm ok with that one. Shots? Pretty much we just went over the fact that those who haven't gotten it yet (Heath, Jill, & I think Richard.. yet again, not sure about Dustin since he wasn't there) need to get the yellow fever vacc. Clothing? Yup... we really needed to go over that one lol. The fact that we (The girls that is) need to be wearing a skirt at all times (with the exeption of when on safari), no shorts for guys, & no sleaveless for anyone. Devo's? Amy just broadly mentioned that we'll be having them at least 3 nights a week (as oposed to when I went, we had them every night) & that we'll be having stuff everynight to do together.. (if not devo then a movie or games..) Rooms? We got rooming decided for the most part. One person not completely decided, pero that is ok. (that can't be helped). Richard & Dustin will room together. Heath & Wess will room together (that way, as Barb put it, Heath will be on company manners lol). Amy & Barbara will be together. And Jill & I will be together... Maria gets to choose if she wants to be in A & B's room or mine & J's room. That will prob happen somewhere between Amsterdam & Moshi lol. Fundraising? Well... lol... We went over how we're doing. Plus, explained to Jill on how to do the mission letters, AMy gave her a sample one. Basically, we're not doing too badly. Jill's not sure what she has from the China trip, so that's kinda in the air. A & B have gotten some more money in. I'm not sure about Heath or Dustin... As of today I have $1857.44 (whoo hoo) plus another $37 coming in reletively soon. (for sure that is) Well I'm running outa room lol.. so I'd better go. Had more to tell ya than I expected lol.
