Dear Journal,
Ok there are NOT 203 days in April lol... Neways, continuing on...
Reception... Was nice... Got very sugared lol. Oh somewhere between the end of Mass & there I got my camera back & Albert told me he'd taken the whole roll lol...that's fine though.. I cant wait to get them dev. Well, I told you Mass ended at 11:30.. well at 12 we were still doing weddings.... I got home at 12:45.. just barely before curfew lol.. (& yes, obnoxiously enough... I have a curfew... never had one at home growing up.. pero here, at 22, I do :P) It was great though. Not sure when I got to sleep exactly.... I had to be up around 7:30 though (although I slept in a little longer) to go to Mass this morning. Yeah, I know.. it's at 9... pero being in the choir has one disadvantage.. we get there between 8:15 & 8:30! Mass this morn was nice too. 3 babies got Baptized.. they were adorable. I'z laughing cuase the first poor baby. They Baptized him butt naked! He's young enough though that it worked (I'm guess a few months at the oldest). After Mass I went outside to sell rosaries agian (see here's where mission stuff comes in lol..well one place). Got some of them sold... a few more people asking me to bring them back next week. Joked around w/ Mike in there too.. he came out & was looking at the pic's on my sign & so was Angela. Angela was asking about TZ & Mike said he was Tanzanian "a little bit" I gave him a look (He's from Kenya) & started to say something... & he got this teasing look on his face & said "I speak hakuna matata" & I started laughing & said "hamna shita" & then we went back & forth w/ those two for a bit until Angela asked us to translate lol. It was fun. Then I waited around till the next Mass & did it all over again. This time we had 3 slightly older kids (I'm guessing ranging from about 4 or 5 yrs. to 11 or so) Baptized. 2 of them, the girls, are the daughters of one of the ladies who was Baptized last night. So that was really cool. After Mass... I went out to sell them again lol.. & got a few more sold & a few more "can you bring them back next week"'s... Afterwards Ron took my sign, is going to make the lettering more bold & fix it so it won't keep blowing away lol. & he asked me to come by sometime this week to figure out next week.. so I guess I am doing it agian lol. Oh.. while I was selling the rosaries after the 11;30 Mass.. Jennifer's family came up.... (that's the Mass they go to usually) & bought one... & we were talking & Sister MaryAnne came up & was talking to us & Wanda (Jennifer's mom) said that if I have any leftover she would buy them "even if it was the whole box". I thought that was so sweet.... I so wouldn't ask them to do that, pero it was sweet of her to say. I'm determined I'll get them all sold though. When I got home, I counted everything up.. I got $75 today so added up it's $1957.44... not bad. Of course, it's not counting the $25 that I know I have from Ang (my old roomate) at Heath & Barbara's church... or the $12 from the rosary that Dustin picked out. (with those I'm really close to the big 2000) So yeah... that's my day in a nutshell... not counting work tonight lol. Other than that...
I got a check in the mail on Good Friday (right after getting some cool news about getting published in the UK & then going to Church to pray) from Ang (the old roomate I mentioned above)"s grandmother. Was for $25 & was very sweet. I completly wasn't expecting it. (which is always the best kind of thing)
Also, we had a mission meeting last night that Barb was in charge of.. now, obviously I couldn't go (Like a certain family get together the same night: sorry guys!) so I have no clue what happened. I'll tell ya when I find out.
Hihi... Next Saturday I have a surprize for the team, for our meeting, pero I can't mention it on here yet... in case anyone reads this.... I'm really looking forward to that though :D
Well, I guess I'd better scoot... nitasema kwaheri! |
