Mission Moshi 2001

Quick overview of Mission Moshi 2001:
In May 2001 students from Texas A&M, Lipscomb, MTSU, York, and Lubbock Christian gathered togather to go to Moshi Tanzania in an 8 week mission trip.

After a 4 day layover in Amsterdam spent being tourists and getting to know our team we arrived in Moshi.

Our first week was spent learning some Kiswahili which is the language spoken there.

The next week was Service week.  We had people doing all sorts of projects that included helping out at an orphanage, building desks for a school, helping out at a boys home, and so on...

The third week was for vacations.  We had the choice of going to Pangani on the Indian Ocean, a Safari on the Serangeti, or climbing up Kilimanjaro.

With week four came our real mission work.  Teaching standards 5 and 6 students at Mwenge and Muungano Primary Schools.
