The End of Death

Darkness o'ertakes and casts shadows
On the light that is our souls.
And all around I find that I
Can not see heaven above.
But can only walk in faith,
And trust the Father,
To guide my steps.
For this is the end,
Though not of myself,
Nor of my Father above,
But the end of sin,
and the end of death,
In one large conflict.
Though now, Death thinks
That it rules the Earth,
Tomorrow and a display of light,
Shall our Brother return,
And cast away death,
And remove it's ancient power.
And forever and ever,
Shall our Father rule eternal.
Amen.
