Still The Water Lies

Still the water lies.
Calm the waves remain.
No longer my heart flies.
And I cry, but in vain.

O calm my soul.
Be still quivering eyes
Like the pond of old.
Heal me, my voice cries.

Deliver me unto Thee,
And bring me to my home,
And promise I shall never flee,
To the sins of Empire Rome.

O grant unto me,
A strength I long to hold,
Against that stormy sea,
Allow me to be bold.
