7th Place in the 2003 European Club Championship In June of 2003 we made our debut on the International scene. We traveled to Brno of the Czech Republic to participate in the B' Pool European Club Championships. This competition serves as a qualification series for promotion to the A' Pool group of European Clubs. Whichever team should win the tournament, automatically is promoted to the A' Pool for the next year. We played well and stayed close in every game, but came up short in the end. The experience and the baseball lessons we learned proved to be crucially important to the team the following year.
2004 Greek Baseball Champions!!! After Marousi 2004 monopolised the first 4 Greek Baseball Championships, Spartakos finally achieved that which it strived for most, and won the Greek Baseball Championship. At the end of the season we found ourselves in 2nd place with an 11 and 3 record behind Ainos of Kefalonia that had a 12 - 2 record. Aris of Thessaloniki finished the regular season in 3rd place and we beat them in the semifinal best of 3 game series, in which we needed to play all 3 games. Ainos of Kefalonia defeated Marousi 2004 in the other semifinal best of 3 game series and the stage was set for the final best of 5 series between Ainos and Spartakos. After losing the opener by a close score of 5 - 3, we came back and shut out Ainos in games 2 and 3 by scores of 10 - 0 and 4 - 0 respectively. Game 4 was a close one and was decided in the bottom of the 7th when we scored the winning run to break the 8 - 8 tie.
2004 Greek Cup Champions!!! After defeating Mylonas by a score of 9 - 4 in the preliminary game, we went on to easily defeat Pelopas by a lopsided score of 17 - 8 in the semifinal game. This led up to the final game against Aris of Thesaloniki. Not being able to put their best pitchers on the mound, the team from Thesaloniki was forced to use Kaskatis, which proved to be disastrous. We easily crushed Aris with a humiliating defeat of 23 - 3, thus allowing us to claim our 3rd Greek Cup Championship!
2005 Greek Baseball Champions!!! After finishing the regular season in 1st place and with an impressive record of 17 - 1, we played against the 4th place team of the regular season, which was Pelopas Patron. We easily defeated Pelopas in the first 2 games of the best of 3 series. We then faced Aris of Thesaloniki in the final best of 3 series, which would determine who would be the Greek Baseball Champions for 2005. We easily won both of the first 2 games to claim our second Greek Baseball Championship in a row!!
8th Place Finish in the 2005 B' Pool European Championship In June of 2005 we traveled to Croatia in order to participate in the B' Pool European Championship series. Although we played well and could have won several games, key players missing from our roster proved to be decisive. These players were: Billy Arvanitis, Pete Dallas, Jason Zachos, Thomas Tseronis, and Elias Poulakis.
