Link to the Dunhams - Past and Present
People
Cornelius Dunham was the first white settler of Crawford County, Iowa.  Did you know: Cornelius was funny?  He once told a group of cattlemen that he put green goggles on his cows so they'd eat the grass in the winter.  You can find his biography and probate documents here.
Zachary Taylor (Z.T.) Dunham built a brick barn that is on the National Register of Historic Places.  Did you know: Z.T. patented a type of short-horn cattle?  You can find his biography and obituary here.
Emma (Lane) Dunham was the wife of Z.T. Dunham.  Did you know: she endured great tragedy as a child; within 4 short days, both her parents died of cholera.  You can read more about her life here
