| While looking for Cornelius Dunham, Sr.'s probate documents, I came across John Dunham's Probate documents. Please note that Shelby and Crawford County were joined at the time of this recording. He was the first white man to die in Crawford County. Sorry - I don't have any pictures of John. | ||||||||

Dunham late of Crawford County - I Certify the above is a true copy - Mausel Wicks County Judge Celinda H. Dunham, Widow of John A. Dunham deceased Children's names - Alice Dunham 5 years old Aug. 9th 1854 Sylvester Dunham 3 years old Aug. 9th 1854 Posthumous The State of Iowa Shelby County The Court orders V.G. Perkins and Solomon Hancock to be the appraisers of the Estate of John (A) Dunham deceased, and if they can not agree, to pick the third (man), and they shall agree- Given under my hand at my office at Shelby County Iowa this Sixth day of November A.D. 1854 Mausel Wicks County Judge The State of Iowa Shelby County The Court orders V.G. Perkins and Cornelius Dunham Jr., the Executors on the Estate of John (A) Dunham deceased of Crawford County.
