*~*~*~Geep~*~*~*

As he drove he passed a boarded up building with a long since faded sign reading the Blue Room. He stopped and stared that the sign. “Shit, what a shame, best damn club in the fuckin’ area. Guess they didn’t like having all that business. I least I still got the memories.”  He thought, while starting up the geep again to drive. “Off we go...”

*~*~*~1988-Nydia’s Car~*~*~*

The ride to the Blue Room had been a quiet one, not of awkwardness, but of some sort of preparation.

Murdoc was seated in the front passenger seat. At first he had tried some small talk with the driver, Nydia. “Nice car, must had cost daddy a hefty price.” he smirked. “What makes you think, “my daddy” brought this car?” she asked. “Because you look like a “daddy’s girl”, always gets what she wants.” “True, I do get what I want, we all do.” Meaning their fellow passengers. “If you must know, “daddy” a couple years back had an accident with his sleeping medicine. Thanks to the RTC.” She paused. “We take what we want, but no more than that. Because, greed should never mix.” Nadia left her words to rent the air. “Never mix with what? What’s RTC?” Murdoc asked, but she remained silence until they had entered the club.

Once they entered, they had caught the eye of one of the bartenders. She nodded to them. For what, Murdoc had no idea. “Must know each other.” They walked towards the bar; once there the said bartender greeted them. “Good evening, what will you have?” “Screwdriver.” “Two J&D cokes” Nydia, Rubé and Alma replied. “And you?” she asked Rozanna and Murdoc, “Double vodka.” “Cranberry and vodka.”  “Anything else?” “No” Rubé said. The bartender began to give them their drinks, some minutes later, as she passed Rubé her J&D coke she address her. “Did you take care of it?” glancing at Murdoc who was looking at them with a curious look. “Including the loose ends?” “Yes, don’t you believe we have already taken care of the job?” “I know you guys have, but this one is trickier. One of his friends was asking around for him, last night and he’s here again.” She pointed to a guy of medium height, with a more or less tanned complexion, who was asking something to the other bartender. “Don’t worry, he won’t be coming back. We’ll do it tonight.” Rubé said with her eyes concentrating on him. She turned back to her, the bartender, “How much for the drinks?” “On the house,” “Thanks.” “Just makes sure he doesn’t come back tomorrow night.”

As the bartender left to help another customer, Murdoc went up to Rubé. “What was that about?” “What?” “What were you and the bartender talking about?” “Don’t worry, it was just business. We got a job.” “A job?” before Murdoc could ask what it was; Rubé was already discussing it with the others. “So who’s up for a job, tonight?” “Who?” Rozanna asked. “The guy about five feet away from us, with the dark green shirt and the glasses.” They saw their target. “One of us needs to distract him…” Nydia smiled “…perhaps drop her drink on him …” Rozanna looked down at the floor, her hair falling over her forehead hiding her eyes in its shadow, leaving only her lower half of Rozanna face showing her decisive smile. Murdoc had seen those exact smiles before, the night he had first met them. “…After he excuse himself to the men’s room, one of us needs to follows him and bring him to the storage room…” Alma nodded. “We’ll do it there.” “What about me?” Murdoc asked as he heard the plan. “You’re in for a treat, Murdoc.” Rubé said with a dark seductive smile. “You get to watch.”
