"MoooOOOOoOooooOOoo!"
"Ooooooh... so conviently located, too!"
Hey all!  Well, it's official!  I now go to MOO U!
I'm now a first-year student at the University of Guelph, located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.  It's big enough to be a change and to have lots of strangers ("friends that you haven't met yet") while still being a small town University when compared to U of T or UBC.  By the way, I'm not a farmer -- I haven't even been two-stepping at the Stampede Ranch night club.... hehe!  No, I'm currently trying to transfer into Psychology with a minor in English... please don't take this writing as an example of my validity for that minor... it's almost 2:30 AM so I really think that discounts it in most peoples' minds.
Where's Guelph, you may ask?  Well, good thing you did or else my finding this handy-dandy map wouldn't have been as handy-dandy as it now proves itself to be.  It's about an hour from Toronto, which is really good for visiting friends and family in the big city.  It's about five or six hours to get to Ottawa, Canada's capital city, and then another two hours to what I call home on a regular non-academic basis...

Guelph is home to many awesome things, such as me and my lounge ;)... but also John McRae, the soldier who wrote the famous poem "In Flander's Fields" which is printed on the new Canadian ten dollar bill as well as being read at any Remembrance Day ceremony.  Oh, not to mention Neve Campbell.  Hey, who knew?  Go looking in Google for Guelph, you get to a Neve Campbell fan site.  I'm probably not even spelling that right, but I'm just a little too tired to care right now. ;)
Guelph as a University has an amazingly friendly atmosphere, which I haven't encountered at any other Canadian University.  I've gotta recommend joining the Christian groups on campus as the quickest way to feel accepted... but that's just personal experience speaking, not authority.  I'm proud to say that I'm a Guelph Gryphon, even though I'm not actually good enought at any one sport to be on a Varsity team or anything even CLOSE to that... it's all good!
Guelph is a truly beautiful city, as evidenced by these awesome pictures I found at e-nova.com... no, I'm not on their payroll, I just think they know how to take a good photo!!
