| hobbies While I've had many hobbies and interests over the years, one of the most enduring, ridiculous, and (God help me!) addictive is the much-maligned art of karaoke. Fortunately, I have several friends who should know better too, so we can indulge our habit collectively from time-to-time. But enough talk. I think these photos from a fairly recent karaoke experience in New York back in January 2003 tell the whole sordid story... Eric, you mad, impetuous fool - run, run while you still can! Run before I reach the chorus! "Running with devil, yeahhh!" That gut-wrenching moment when I discovered that my friends were all closet Iron Maiden fans "I...I will survive, just as long as I know how to sing I know I'll stay alive." My rendition of Wham's Last Christmas. Just as George Michael's timeless classic tells of being abandoned, sadly I opened my eyes moments later to discover that I, too, had been left behind, and had been performing to an empty room. |
