Our love for the Sphynx started when we attained a puppy from Dalton and Pat Sales of Dalpat Sphynxnparrots Cattery. When we were first introduced to the hairless Sphynx cat I must confess I thought "no fur"??? I'm not sure about that, but the moment one of Dalpat's cats jumped on my lap and kissed me it was instant love. You just can't help but love this extremely affectionate, animated and intelligent breed.
I have a wonderful husband who supports me in everything I do. Dale has been so wonderful to support my desire to show, raise, and care for this rare breed.
I am very proud of the care and meticulous clean environment in which our Sphynx live. They are very much a part of our family. I have the joy of being able to stay home as a homemaker where I can care and nurture all our Sphynx around the clock. Our Sphynx are loving with a delightful temperment and are extremely loved, vet cared, handled and socialized with people as well as their kittens until they are adopted.
We will have very limited litters per year because we are focused on the quality and heatlh of the kittens as well as maintaining the wonderful temperment this enchanted breed has.
All of our little ones are bathed, ears cleaned and nails trimed at a early age so they will be accustomed to these pratices when they go to their new home.
A little about our slogan here at Tamdale Sphynx. I came up with the name "Sphynxgattonofur" partially from having family heritage from Palermo Sicily, (Italy). "Gatto" is cat in Italian then I added my first reaction to the breed "No Fur?" thus calling it Sphynx Gatto No Fur; even has an Italian flare. Say it proud as you shake your hand "Sphynx Gatto No Fur" if you are Italian you know what I mean.
We are looking forward to the many adventures this road of Sphynxin will take us. We are also looking forward to showing the Sphynx in future cat shows.
