Eric was always very interested in music. He met Kyle Eyer (drummer)
and Chris Teixeira (former guitarist) in the 5th grade.  In the 9th grade the trio formed a band which played on and off for about 6 months.  Then after a short break, the trio added a member and resumed playing.  The band, continued playing and got some new equipment, which gave more insentive to play.  Eric enjoys playing bass in and out of 3 Shades of Red.  He can't explain why he started playing and could only come
up with, "Hey, it was the only instrument left." 

Eric uses a variety of equipment.  He mainly uses a Fender P-Bass, equiped with split single-coil Fender pickups.  The body is made of Alder with a rosewood fingerboard, maple neck and a chrome bridge.  He also uses a Washburn Bass. (Lyon series) He uses split single- coil pick ups on a P-Bass style body.  The bass has an alder body with a rosewood finger board and a chrome bridge.  Eric, uses custom gauge hybrid slinky bass strings by Ernie Ball.  He chose these strings because of their punchy and punky sound.  Eric uses Dunlop 1mm picks.  Eric uses a Frontman 15B Bass amp by Fender. It has 15 watts, an 8 inch Fender speaker, a Delta Comp limiter, and a 3-band EQ.  Lately, Eric has been using two extension speakers totalling 500 watts. uses a Roland microphone and a chrome microphone stand with a black bottom base.  The microphone is then amplified by a P.A. thus distributing great amounts of high quality sound.  Eric occasionally wears a new pair of Vans shoes.  Eric is also known to wear a plain black wristband when he plays.
