"Whats with the Grass?"...
No SpinOfex aren't pot heads... A four piece punk/rock band from the inner suburbs of Sydney Australia. Consisting of-
Wade- Vox Jenny- Bass Matt- Guitar Elyse- Drums
SpinOfex, who were originally a 5 piece girl band (note the slight change in lineup) are now a band with an original sound and an original lineup.
As the band aren't on the lineups for local gigs as yet, they are soon to record a Demo which will be the first of the years the band have been together.
With punk influences such as Millencolin, Mest, For Amusement Only, MxPx, New Found Glory, Guttermouth and One Dollar Short. Other 'not so punk' influences such as Jebediah, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Living End, Korn, Grinspoon and Superheist are picked up in the sounds of the bands originals.
As the band are only young (16-19) problems such as school, tafe and $$$ have prologned the release of original Material. But as of recently things are falling into place and samples of SpinOfex's tunes will be found on the site.
"What is 'SpinOfex'?"
the name SpinOfex is taken from 'Spinifex'.. and native Australian weed.
