This workshop is designed to allow you to take an in-depth look at your own mediumship, you know your strengths and weaknesses but you have probably felt that you have reached your level and cannot go beyond.

This is an opportunity to be pushed in the safety of an encouraging and loving environment; it will offer you the chance to assist the progression of your mediumistic abilities.
When we are out working in the public domain it is sometimes hard to experiment with our methods of communication, so we fall into the trap of sticking with the old tried and tested routine. But in truth we should be looking at deepening our links with the spirit world so that we can access more accurate and evidential information. It is never a lack of enthusiasm on the part of the communicating spirit, it is usually down to the ability  of the medium that produces the result, and that is part of the responsibility of mediumship.
Knowledge of the mechanics of mediumship help you to understand what is happening and how it happens. It is also a vital part of your training if you have aspirations to teach, remember the old saying that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Well this can be very relevant if you are to become involved in the training and development of novice mediums. The training and information you give can either make an excellent channel for the spirit or at best a very mediocre medium of the future, I know which one you would choose.
Most mediums that go to a church or center to demonstrate or conduct a spiritualist service are required to give an address as well as a demonstration. Both are of equal importance if we are to present spiritualism in a professional way. For too long now the address has been seen as less important and it is time to correct this. With help and encouragement you can learn how to structure your address in a way that will leave every one in the congregation with a message, because a good address reaches everyone.
For many mediums the private sitting is their only source of income, but it needs to be given your best. There are people out there who are very vulnerable, and they will turn to you for answers. That is a big responsibility and every working medium should make it their duty to understand about the code of conduct that we should all be working by.
We are not counsellors – we are not medically qualified – nor are we a guru who has all the answers. We are channels for spirit, people with great empathy for the suffering of others, people who have been born with a higher degree of spiritual sensitivity, and we need to know how to protect ourselves as well. We need to know when to say no, when to switch off and live a little, without feeling we have failed or that the spirit world is disappointed in us. The truth is quite the opposite; they tell us that we are responsible for our own well-being as well as our mediumship.
