The Fruits of spirit
"Go in Peace and gather to yourself a needle and thread to sew the Fruits of Spirit,
to mend the broken heart, the wounded soul;
Thus, you have your goal----Create a newer vision; weave the tattered rags into the riches of the Whole.
A smile here, a kind word there, creates a bond most everywhere you go;
show me Sunshine, my vine will grow.
What better way to spread the Word but Cheer---it melts the grumpy heart,
dispels the fear. Reach out and touch my hand, you move my life;
your warmth can shield me from my pain and strife.
When I hear your laughter and feel the love of your embrace,
our Spirits link, Oh, see the smile upon my face!
A flower, a gentle kiss, a loving touch---is that all I really miss?
Is it too much to give---can it really change this world in which I live?
There’s only one way to find out, to alleviate my doubt--
I’ll be the first one to begin, by allowing Spirit in; let me weave a little Love spun from Heaven up above.
That’s all it takes---a Happy Smile;
I think I’ll walk that extra mile, to understand, to reach out my helping hand.
