I am your shadow-self, take a look at me,
Gaze into my eyes and tell me what you see.
Does it really frighten you, knowing I am there?
No one else has found me, or secrets that we share.
Hasn’t it occurred to you, both of us are One?
I am your protector, your energy, your fun!
Why are you ashamed of me---God has put me here;
Was this His mistake---just tell me what you fear!
Look a little closer---my soul is part of you;
A night without the day, gets awful lonely, too.
And a day without the night---will never get to rest;
But, together, hand-in-hand, we’re at our very best!
