Well for eyeliner, it comes in 4 types. Creamy pencil, normal pencil, liquid, and powder. Michelle Branch says she never leaves the house without her powder eyeliner, so I'm guessing it really works. The powder gives you more of a shadowy femining look. The liquid is very dark and is best if you want a punk/goth look, or if you want stage make-up. The creamy pencil gives you a fresh, just made up look. And the normal pencil gives you a feminine delicate look. If you have contacts, i recommend that you use the creamy pencil so that it doesnt flake off. N.Y.C Jumbo Eye Pencil is only $3 and is availiable at almost all drugstores, and doesnt flake off.
Ok for eyes mocha shades usually look good on everybody and same with pink shades. Dont wear blue or purple unless its for halloween or a sports event at school (lol) Um from seventeen they say this eyeshadow application trick.I'll write it here:
OK well first you put white all over your lids up to your eyebrows. And they you put white a little bit under your eyes too. Then you put on a mocha brown just on the crease of your lid. Then put on a slightly lighter shade of mocha below that.
For lips, get Meybelline Clic-It. It makes your lips seem smooth and light.Then put over that Bobby Brown Clear-Gloss to finish off the look. If you want a darker, punk look, i recommend this little trick Cosmogirl wrote up:
Apply a metallic purple lipstick (like Apt.5 Lipstick in L-19 about $8 www.apt5cosmetics.com) with a lip brush. Then dab an all-purpose iridescent fuchsia powder (like Jane Radiation All Over Glimmer in Fuchia Fusion about $4 in drugstores) on your lips and press them together. If you dont like to mix stuff yourself, just try a ready made pinkish-purple lipstick like Black Up Comfort Lipstick in #4 about $17 at www.black-up.com
Mascara is a whole nother story. For mascara, you dont ever want to put more than one coat on of the black. If you put more than one coat on, it will flake off and clump. The new Maybelline Volum' Express is supposed to be really good, and it makes your hair 5x the volume instantly. It also doesnt clump, but separates the hairs. If oyu dont want that, I think that you should just get clear mascara and apply 2 coats to volumize and separate, then apply 1 coat of black mascara to get the color you want.
If you want a really clean face, I recommend Aveeno. It's a bar of soap and it usually cleans off all of the black heads and white heads within a week of use. Well thats how it works for me, but i think that the results are probably about the same thing for eveyone. For remover, I would get Ponds. They come in wipes and cream, and they not only get off all of the make-up (even waterproof) within 5 minutes, but it also cleans your face. Yes, it has oil but if you want a really clean face go for Ponds. If oyu want to minimize your pores, get Clinique Pore Minimizer. It works really well and leaves your skin feeling smooth.
Well for blush, i recommend a light pink and you can get a big poofy brush and lightly apply for a girly look. If you want a punkish look, try putting on the pink blush with the poofy brush, then blending in a brownish color with a cotton ball and then puttin on a purpleish color with the poofy brush. You can also get liquid blush, but i've never used that so i don't know how that looks
