| The Partido Socialista del Valle is part of the Socialist Party USA. We are a local of the Socialist Party of Texas. The organization seeks to organize the Lower Rio Grande Valley from Rio Grande City, to McAllen, and all the way to Brownsville. We organize to establish a radical democracy that places people's lives under their own control -- a non-racist, classless, feminist, socialist society in which people cooperate at work, at home, and in the community. We are organizing around different community issues, here are some we are currently involved:: Labor Solidarity Work - promoting labor work by participating in Union activities and solidarity work across the Valley. Lone Star Socialist - The Lone Star Socialist seeks to inform and educate the community on issues that affect the community with a democratic socialist perspective. Justicia Sin Fronteras – organizing on immigrant rights along the Texas-Mexico border. People for Peace – we are part of a coalition of concerned Valley organizations and individuals that promote peaceful, democratic, and just resolutions to international conflicts. The Socialist Forum - a forum dedicated to bring tother socialists from different backgrounds, organizations, and community work in one place. To inform ourselves. To educate ourselves. But all of this in a comradely and fun setting. |
