Joan Stark's ASCII Art Gallery
  http://www.oocities.org/SoHo/7373/

I know you're gonna love this site.
Oh, yes; David from For Your Family is also the guy who sent this idea to me.

ASCII Art is, of course, making pictures from standard keyboard characters. And since it is possible to specify color characters, they can be made in full color!

The webmaster Joan Stark, is the artist for most of the work on this site. There are other similar sites out on the Net, but this is really a showcase site, as Joan is very talented and has a large collection.
She also has appropriate theme music on each page, such as Disney music for the Disney collection, etc. It really enhances the effect.
The collection here is huge. Flowers, children, religious, babies, animals, nature, Disney, Sesame Street, holidays, celestial -- there are a bunch more categories, and each category has several works.

Joan makes all of her work in Windows Notepad -
with no special conversion software.
It's quite amazing. Do stop by.

Enjoy,

Roger Zimmerman

What's ASCII Art? Why, they're graphics (or text) that are formed when regular "ASCII" characters are put together. The smallest ASCII Art you're probably familiar with is the emoticon (a sideways smiley). :) And that's just the beginning of the fun! For bigger (and infinitely better) ASCII pictures, head on over to this site. It's amazing how some people can be so creative with everyday "characters." You'll want to spend hours at this site alone... if you can name it, it's probably already been done in ASCII. There's even directions on how to make your own.
