Fun Facts:

Spunky was very smart and loved to show off all his tricks when friends dropped by.

An extremely affectionate Springer Spaniel.  He was born in 1995 and spent the first 3 years of his life with a family who neglected him.  In January of 1998 he came into my life and became a permanent member of my family.

He could sit, lie, shake paws, rollover, speak and give high fives but his favorite trick was jumping off the town dock into the water and climbing back up the ladder.

He had lots of nicknames, like Bunky, Schmucky, and Spunkinitis.

Spunky used to love hunting once he got used to the gun.  For the first year or so he was terrified of even the sight of a shot gun.  Once he realized how fun it was to hunt like his brother Shadow did, he quickly got over his fear of guns.

He especially loved going for rides in the truck or running behind on the back roads.

- water, water and more water - his leash (for walks) he would retrieve it on command - watching the birds outside - getting a bath - riding in the back of the truck with the wind in his face - oranges, bananas and carrots - spending time with his friends: Shadow, Seabring, Lucky and Bailey

- thunder storms or fireworks - people who were fighting or yelling at each other (even if it was just make believe) - other dogs kissing his mom - going to a professional groomer...he preferred mom to do all his hair cuts because she didn't make him look funny
