Ducky’s Books

Ducky’s study drove Gibbs nuts. Oh, it was a perfectly fine study, but the damn thing was filled with books. There were books on every available surface, plus books marching out to encroach on other rooms of the house. They had entered the parlor, the bedroom, the bathroom and even the kitchen, for God’s sake. No wonder Ducky had so many stories to tell.

The books made Gibbs feel claustrophobic. He would look up and catch sight of the books on their seven foot high bookcases and feel as if walls were about to tumble down on him.

There were times, however, when Gibbs could overlook the books. Like right now, with Ducky sitting on his lap doing his best to explore as far down Gibbs’ throat as his tongue would reach. At times like these, Gibbs wouldn’t have minded if they were in the garage. Heck, Ducky made his mind go so quickly that he wasn’t sure he would have objected if Mrs. Mallard was in the room. Although he did draw the line at including her. Ducky had a way of sabotaging his mental processes that was frightening in its speed and intensity.

At this moment, all Gibbs wanted to do was get Ducky flat on his back, preferably naked, as quickly as possible. A bed would be nice, but not mandatory, although rug burns did tend to bother him after the fact. He pulled away from Ducky’s mouth with a wet sucking sound and panted out “Bed?”

Ducky looked at him with a twinkle in his eye. “Of course, dearest, but first you have to open your Birthday gift.”

Gibbs had been trying all day to forget the occasion. Trust Ducky to remember it when he was most defenseless. Ducky was not above using sex as a weapon, and the damn twinkle in his eye showed he knew exactly what he was doing to the younger man.

They made it upstairs at least, undressed and got into bed. But, just as Gibbs reached over to snag his lover, Ducky picked up a package. It looked like a book. Just what Gibbs didn’t want.

The twinkle was even stronger, if that was possible. “Open it before you decide,” Ducky chided him.

Well, if it would make Ducky happy. He’d stand in the middle of Times Square buck-naked during rush hour if it would make Ducky happy. He reached for the package.

It sure felt like a book. The only book he could possibly have any interest in would be How To Get Your Boat Out Of the Basement In One Easy Step and he doubted that was what this was. Still, to make Ducky happy…

He removed the wrapping and gasped. Then, after carefully placing Adventures in sex : 365 ways to make every night & day more exciting by Mark Bricklin ( ISBN 1584794615 New York : Stewart, Tabori & Chang, 2005, 383 p) on the nightstand, he gathered Ducky into his arms and began to express his appreciation for the gift.

Okay, maybe some books were all right.
