I told aneuhaus when she commented on "Weakness," that I write drabbles whenever I'm given prompts (I love to write to prompts!) so she gave me "Stained glass window" for a story.

Stained Glass Window
By Periwinkle

Illya followed the Thrush into the church. The man knelt in a pew and seemed to be engrossed in praying. He folded his hands and bent his head. Then he appeared to become fascinated by one of the stained glass windows.

When he left, Illya stayed behind, knowing that Solo would pick up the tail. He felt around the pew, checked the hymnal, looked everywhere, all without luck.

Giving up, he turned to go and saw the window. Something looked a little off.

There it was. Lightly penciled in among the Saint’s name was the code he’d been looking for.
