The Corners You Can't See
Foundations
What do you see, beyond the trees
A dream of what you want to be
But it's not there, and where is where
The maddened drones ringing in your head
The goblins hide
Deep inside
The turned over roots of some old barren tree
And they bring the leaves to the ground
In the red and orange of autumn's brown

They're in your room
They're in your gloom
And all the corners you can't see
You scream and cry, they stain your eye
And pounce in the shadows in the hall
So try to fight and wave goodnight
To the spector stirring outside your window pane
Oh weather beaten bridge
Fade barn red
Split is your vein
Dwarfing fishermen, jigging in your shadow

Your foundation of stone
So much stronger than yourself
Are we the same?
Albin Bridge
Bridge breaking gravel road
Who will visit you when we're gone?
I hope we frequent you as we grow older,
For the sake of old times and ours as well

Lined by green on narrowed sides
Evening cool mystified
To visit, think, or drink a few
Remember us, when our dues are through

Thanks for being sanctuary
In times young, sad, or scary
For supporting us as we pass through
Remember us, we'll remember you
