What is Squabble? Squabble is a modified (read better) way to play Scrabble. The rules are fairly basic and are as follows: 1. Grow extra legs.* 2. The main playing and scoring of the game is as for Scrabble, except: a. All coloured squares may be used in all circumstances of the letter/word score being counted. Double and triple word scores are multiplied. b. ALL WORDS must be imaginary, and the imaginary definitions must be provided. This is the defining rule of Squabble and MUST be adhered to. Thus, objecting to a word is only possible if it is a real word. c. All words must be pronounceable, not just a mixtre of letters arranged to get the best score. We know how sneaky you are! * Rule 1 is only useful for playing Contact Squabble, but that is an entirely different game. If you manage to do this and want the rules for Contact Squabble please send us a photo and then make up the rules yourself - something like a mix of Calvinball and Contact Chess. |
Your Input: We would love to hear the words and definitions that you have made up in your quest to become the ultimate Squabbler. A collection of these will be posted from time to time. |
