Kaneda Mattemeo        Ranking 07     Knight Commander

Kaneda Vincent Mattemeo is the full name of the blue haired elven knight and defender of the Tavern Realms. His upbringing from an early age was hardly average, abandonned by his parents he was left to fend for himself until a young couple, Pelan and Shirl Mattemeo stumbled upon him while they where walking. Pelan was never accepted by Kaneda sa his father, but he became the young elf's hero and he swore he would follow in his fathers footsteps and become a ranger like his adopted father had done, when he turned 18. His life was good untill he turned 20, his now aging father was sent up to repel a small force of drows which had attacked the village lines. His father was never to return and from the day his fathers arrow pierced body was brought back into the village square, it became his life mission to get even with the race that had destroyed his life. His mother didn't last long on her own, andn ow with no family Kaneda left the village to become a ranger, he applied to an outpost that would be on the front line fighting if drow did attack the region again. But his time never came and he never managed to avenge the death the father figure he had looked up for so long. He bccame a reclusive, only coming out to keep watch over the outpost at night, and his companions in the rangers became hostile towards him, and he was forced to leave.
One night he walked deep into the woods, and becoming lost he stumbled upon the borders of a small town. Layed across the road was a dead fox and its litter. Taking the surviving cub he kept it for a while and soon it became his travelling companion. He named the fox "Moose" and it is always at his side or with Sionell (the foxes favourite bathing partner <g>).
He returned to that town a day later and discovered the Tavern, which would become the place he would frequent the most, often staying for whole days at a time. His first set of rael friends where Andrew "Damage" Gothson and his future wife Ice de Valois. Ice and Damage joined the IPD, it was their friendship which inspired Kaneda to join also. His luck with the opposite sex has never been up to much and his first love was Chantelle de Morpheus, a close friend of Ice. It was short lived, as she was killed by Ice father, who returned from the grave, only to be killed once again by Ice aided by Kaneda.
Later on he fell for another, a mysterious woman named Chaos, but this too was short lived and she left him within the week. His most recent activities included his close friend and leader of the IPD, Sir Blackwolf Moondew, drafting him into the Solamnic Knights. and his devotion to Ice de Valois, a long term friendship who has finally become more than a friend. Finding out she was pregnant with a face from the past was a shock to him, but he has sworn to stand by her and give her any support he can.

Players voice: Kaneda evolved greatly from his first days in the CompuServe Anime and Manga forum hwere hweas just known as Kaneda. When the forum became emptier he moved to RPGamers Forum and adopted Mattemeo as his surname, at first he was a drifter with only friends from his past in Anime/Manga. He now means alot to me, I feel sad when he is sad, and I happy when he is happy. He is a real part of me now and a that moment growing from from strength to strength, since his involvement in the IPD, he had become more aligned to doing good and becoming a Solamnic Knight further sided him with the defenders of the realm, each of these have strengthened and deepened his character and he has become dear to me.

Lady Elana Moondew    Ranking06        Sergeant of Arms

Elana traveled with the Bron Location and Aquisition Company for three years. Her companions were Sarah (a human monk), Al ( a human "mutt" as he called himself and runemaster warrior), Karl and Marx (two mages of the Staff, a strange branch of Channeling and Essence magic). These were her best friends, though there were times others who traveled with them. Elana was the distance fighter, being the best archer in the group and Information Specialist, using her Seer abilities. She was not, at the time, a religious person or romantically active in the least, as her traveling companions were extremely protective and they were almost continually on the move.
When Elana moved to the Tavern Realm, she was attacked almost daily by vampires and thugs, She managed to survive witht he help of new friends., as she found her long-distance attack skills almost totally useless here and she couldn't escape as her horse, (Brave Soul II) had been killed by a demon. Including in her growing cirlce of friends were Legolas, Ondine, Talis wolf, Mistwalker and Paladin among others. Within 4 years, she had married four tomes, had given birth to seven children and adopted many more. She was recruited into the clergy by Odin himself and ressurrected over 50 times and has lost her right to go to the elven paradise, but has a room prepared in Valhalla upon her final demise. Her current husband is the one most attuned to her heart and mind, being her soulmate as well ash er lifemate.
She still has her favorite horse, Snow Star, a wedding gift from her first husband, Legolas Elandil.
Three of her children are deceased and one is a semi-god.
Her sword is the twin of Blackwolf's both are named Nil Far (elvish for "Night Stalker) and she has a collection of other enchanted blades, though she still misses her destroyed blade, Thantamos.
She loves ale and has had ongoing problem with over-drinking, though she is not an alcoholic nor addicted, though many accuse her of such. The Fair elven people have an remarkable ability for not becoming addicted to drink or drugs of any kind.
She often forgets to eat and tends to eat the wrong thing, mostly sweets. She cannot cook at all.
Though a remarkable Archer, she is horrible at darts and has been banned from playing in public.
Her temper and lack of patience have continually been her ruin, but she still has not learned to control these areas of her life and shows no signs of ever doing so.
She is fiercely loyal to her husband and her friends and family, though she has lost many of them through the years. She keeps their memories on her heart.
