The powerful living ship for Ryoko, Ryo-Ohki is an interesting animal to say the least. She is a cross between a cat and a rabbit, thus giving birth to the term 'cabbit.' She meows like a cat, but has the greatest lust for carrots you could imagine (like a rabbit). When she wants to, or Ryoko wants her to, she can transform into a large, crystalline ship (shown to the right).

As a ship she is very fast and well armed. With Ryoko at the helm, there is practically no better ship/pilot team. Though Ryo-Ohki is an excellent ship, it was no match against the Soja until Ryoko piloted right through the ship's hull. During the OVA, Ryo-Ohki was destroyed a few times. The first time was when she crashed into the Earth from a blast from Funaho. The 2nd Time was when she, along with Ry-Oh, crashed into the Earth. Not too worry, Ryo-Ohki can easily allow herself to either regenerate or be totally reborn. When Ryo-Ohki crashed that second time, she created an egg, a week or two later the egg is ready, and it hatches. And out pops the adorable cabbit once again. Like Ryoko, Ryo-Ohki was able to be controlled by Kagato. Both Ryoko and Ryo-Ohki led the only ever successful attack on Jurai.

Washu created Ryo-Ohki from the creatures known as Masu and an unknown mineral element. She can be piloted by anyone, but Ryoko with one gem can telepathically talk to Ryo-Ohki and control her much easier. Ryo-Ohki draws her powers from the gems, no matter who has them or where they are. Since both Ryoko and Ryo-Ohki draw from the gems, and the gems are in the same power "frequency" as the Jurai defenses, they were able to get by. The little gem on Ryo-Ohki's forehead is speculated to be the device on Ryo-Ohki that connects the cabbit to the gems or Ryoko.

Ryo-Ohki is actually very affectionate, and shows quite some character for a little cat-rabbit. She seems to have feelings towards Tenchi, especially in ep 10. When she assimilated with the Masu, she took on the form that they were currently in. Thus she became that furry, teenage girl you see at the very top  of this bio. In that form she uttered her first word, "carrot." When she discovered she couldn't talk, she transformed into a toddler to learn like any other human would. She tries to hold that form most of time, but will convert back into her cabbit form from time to time. She spends nearly all of her waking moments either playing with Sasami or out in the carrot fields munching away.
