How to set up your fserv

Just follow these directions step by step to set up your fserv. If you have any questions
just ask an op..or someone in the channel to help you.

First...go to Polaris IRC (depends on what script you are using)
-= (it's a pulldown menu at the top of your screen) =-
Then...go to script settings
Then...File Serve

Ok...now you should be in the General Tab.
Under Max Sends... Set Each to 1, and Total to 1.
Under max Queues...Set each to 2, and Total to whatever you want...( mine is 10).
Now...make sure the File Server Box, and the Slot Announcer Box are both Checked.
Now...Set the Fserv's Max Users to whatever you like (mine is 10).
Under Ad Delay (min), Set it to 5 minutes.
OK...now, under Advertising Channels, type in #bla-bla, and click Add.

Next...Go to Trigger 1.
Make sure Enable Trigger is checked.

Select a Root Directory where your files will be served from...(This is typically the
directory that will house all your movies, mp3s...). You should store all your files under
the directory that your trigger 1 is pointing to.

Next...you must Select your own personal trigger...and put a note under the General Tab in
the space provided saying something about your Fserv. (*your trigger must be in
the !trigger format, utilizing the ! sign)

Now...you can start the Fserv to check if it works. To do this...simply go to the
channel you'll be serving in..and right click anywhere in the #dbzirc channel window...
Go to Advertisements...then File Server....then Start. You should see a message in the
screen saying "File Server has been started". This will let you know that it's working.

Lastly, you should set up colors for your Fserv...simply go to Polaris IRC, Script Settings,
General, the Script Colors...then Check Enable Colors...and simply choose
the colors you want.

If you want to use multiple triggers...simply go back to the trigger menu under the fserv
menu...and go to trigger2, trigger3, and so on. Simply enable the trigger...and point it
an alternate directory on your computer. This will enable your file server to have
multiple triggers that each point to a distinct directory of your computer.

That's it..
