Tabu has done something, which normally an actress wouldn’t do. She shaved off her head for Deepa ‘Fire’ Mehta’s new Film Water.

Canada based director Deepa Mehta is known for her insistence on ‘original thing’, so a scalp wig was not even given a look. Finally, Tabu gave in to her director’s wish and shaved off her head according to the demand of the role.

Late Persis Khambatta was the first Indian actress to shave off her head for a role in a film. But that was a foreign Hollywood production.
