The detailed plans are not yet made. Mrs. Mahoney leaves her husband and ten children, all of whom were at the beside when the final summons came. All but two of these children were born in Omaha, the family being one of the oldest families of this city. With her husband, to whom she was married fifty-three years ago last Monday, Mrs. Mahoney came to Omaha from Indianapolis, Ind., April 12, 1857. She and Mr. Mahoney took great pride in the steady growth and advancement of the place which when they first saw it was a mere village. INFO; Per family stories, Jeremiah came to the US from County Cork Ireland by sailing vessel around 1830. He owned an Overland Stage carrying passengers and freight to Cheyenne, Wyoming from Omaha using mules. He came to Omaha in a covered wagon pulled by 4 horses and crossed the Missouri River on rafts.  (I have always wondered if this information is about his Dad as he would be too young to manage some of this.  Maybe, the stories are about him but he came to the US later than 1830 which would make most of this possible.  I also believe that this Mahoney family may be related to his Mother-in-Laws side of the family.)  I also found that Jeremiah was very much involved in his community in Omaha during the 1858-1859 timeframe as well as the 1864 until death timeframe.
