    Hello, Welcome to my home page and thank you for coming. I am Stan Wooten, I live in East Tennessee with my wife Jane and our daughter Brittany. My oldest daughter Anne graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tennessee, in 2001. My son Doug graduated in August 1999 from The University of Memphis, in Memphis Tennessee. I am a Locomotive Engineer with CSX Railroad where I have worked for 25 years.

    I operate trains running from Etowah Tn to Atlanta, Ga. a distance of about 130 miles.

    My wife and I are students of the Martial Arts, studying under Sensei's Scott and Ruth Ann Shamblin at Shamblins School of Karate in Cleveland Tennessee. Our style or Ryu, is IsshinRyu. It is a form of Karate that originated in Okinawa, Japan. Jane is a Nidan (Second Degree) degree Black Belt and I am a Shodan (first degree).

    I live in one of the most beautiful places in the country. The Southeastern Tennessee, Northwest Ga, and Western North Carolina region is filled with soaring mountains, trout filled streams, rivers and lakes, rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking, and wilderness trails winding through it all. One of the premier trails through this area is the Appalachian Trail which runs more than 2000 miles from Georgia to Maine.

    There is so much to do in this area that no one should ever complain of being bored, on this page I have tried to link to some of the recreational activities and other forms of entertainment available in this beautiful area.

    I have also included links to the Martial Arts and Karate, including information on the school where my wife and I study.
