Hi, I'm Lin

You've probably guessed by now that one of my hobbies is building web pages and, of course, caring for our furkids. Another is woodworking. Something I've always wanted to do but never really had the time. Finally, I made time. John (hubby) loves it. It means he can buy me tools for Christmas. Some of my first projects were simple boxes and craft items. Pretty amateur, to say the least. Now I do pretty good. If I ever get caught up on making the items I want for our home and for my daughter and her husband, I just might get around to selling some of my work.

Here's a few my woodworking projects

This aquarium stand (left) was my first furniture type project. I had bought the 15 gallon long aquarium at a garage sale. Got it home and had no idea where I was going to put it or what I was going to put it on. I designed and built this stand especially for it. It sat in our dining room for a mumber of years. In 2008, after all our fish had passed away, I refurbished and redesigned the stand to turn it into the TV stand you see at the right.

This aquarium cabinet and canopy for our 55 gallon Cichlid tank has been my most challenging project thus far. A lot of thought went into the design as the base had to be perfectly level and it had to be strong enough to hold the weight. I am very proud of it. I kept this tank in operation for about 10 years. At that time, all but a couple of my Cichlid's and one Pleco had perished. I transferred them to my 15 gallon tank when it became empty and tranformed this tank into a plant terrarium

A key cabinet I made for my mom. The latch is the rose in the front. The surface is all hand carved. Ot turned out far prettier than I thought it would.

Theses bathroom cabinets are 2 of 3 I designed and built. The large one conceals a clothes hamper along with storage space. The one not shown is a small wardrobe.

One of my other hobbies is dried and silk flower arranging. These are some of the arrangements I made for my daughters wedding.
