Basically, I don't play cricket. But, I would like to. If you have any cricket equipment that you want to donate to us or something, please email me. PLEASE do not throw out your old equipment, we would appreciate anything. Here's how we play, and if you live in America and want to play but can't find any equipment or don't want to pay a lot, you can do what we do. My friends and I made a bat out of a goalie stick for hockey. What you do is you use the paddle of the hockey stick, and cut off the blade and the top of the skinny part. Leave about a foot of the skinny part, because that's your handle. Then you will probably need to use either duct tape of hockey tape to secure the sides of the bat so that it doesn't break as easily. The hockey stick, or as we call it, "The Bauer Willow," is not as strong as a regular cricket bat, so we can only use a tennis ball or a rubber ball. You can do Batting Practice with a cardboard box or a trash barrel as your wicket. |
