About Me And My Car

Ever since I was young I have always loved the mustang.  My freshman year in  high school I bought a used, and in rough shape a 67 GT which I fixed up and drove the wheels off.. In 1981 I found a car I just had to have, a 1970 Mach 1.. I tryed several times a year for  almost 5 years to get the guy to sell it to me with no luck and then in 1985 I guess he heard (or his wife) enough and sold it to me..          I trailered the car home and spent the next, well im still working on it to this day!!  When I got it,  it was missing many pieces, hard to find ones at that.. The only part of the original drive train that was missing was the 428 CJ..  Most of the hard to find parts were either stole or sold off it when I got it..  Ive searched all over the US to find all (well almost all) the missing pieces.      I have enjoyed fixing up this American Icon, which I happen to think is the BEST mustang ever built..I have met MANY people from all different lifestyles and from all over the world in doing so.  I can see a trend from the earlier model mustangs changing over to the 69/70 models, as far as the reproduction parts availabilty and the salvage parts (original ones) are SKY HI if and I mean IF you can find them..      My car is a:    1970  Mach 1   vin #  0T05Q106230                          351C (suppose to have a 428CJ)                          4 spd. toploader                          350 Ratio Traction-Loc  9"                          Factory Air / Power Brakes / Power Steering /                          Deluxe Decor Group with Woodgrain                          Shaker Scoop / Front and Rear Spoilers                          Rear Slats / Dual Racing Mirrors                          Lots of other extras
