My Compressor.
I brought this about 17 years ago. Its aJun-air compressor made in Sweeden. It hasnt missed a beat it just simply keeps going and going.
Airbrushes.
Pictured are the airbrushes I use. The top 3 are Iwata HP-SB airbrushes, 2 are fitted with a 0.3mm nozzle set for use with heavier acrylics. Both of these airbrushes have the preset handles with Crown caps The middle one has the original 0.2mm nozzle set which I use for the finest detail.
The Middle 2 airbrushes are Iwata HP-C's I use these 2 for general airbrushing with a couple of colours on the go. One has a preset handle.
The bottom 2 have are both Iwata Eclipse Airbrushes. The one to the left is an HP-SBS and to the right is the HP-BCS. I use these 2 for larger coverage and for even thicker paints.
Heres a picture of some of the paints I use. Generally, they are Atelier Artists Acrylic from Tubes squeezed into 100ml flip-top bottles with some flow medium and water to get a fluid acrylic. This is really just so I can control the amount of paint I am using, either mixed directly in the side cups or colour bowl of the airbrush. Other paints you see there are liquitex medium viscocity and Jo-Sonyas Acrylic Gouache.
For spraying purposes I thin the acrylics down with a 50/50 mix of Atelier flow medium and water. I am experimenting with this all the time. I generally erase paint as well as spray, but I am finding that the acrylics reduced with flow medium take a while to dry and become sticky. This aint so good when erasing as the you tend to smear the paint rather than remove it. I am currently experimenting with Golden and Createx Airbrush extender to harden the paint film.
