That's a fair enough question. It is really a combination of interests that culminated in me creating this site. Ever since I was a small child I have had an almost overwhelming fascination with hair. I remember arguing with my mother about the need to get haircuts. My desire for the most part was to have long hair although I went through a stage where I thought short spiked hair was a cool thing complete with long hair in back - yes, the dreaded mullet! Fortunately that stage didn't last too long. I remember even in my teens taking some pictures of my hair just to document its current stage. As time went on I took more of these but until I got a digital camera, there really weren't too many shots taken just focused on documenting my hair.
I also have interests in both photography and web design. In creating and maintaining this site, I'm able to experiment in these areas. This site, although crude, has given me some limited experience in the basics of website building. Getting a digital camera has also served to help me hone my photography skills by taking a lot of pictures without worrying about costs or development time.
So, at first glance, this site may appear unusual but it is a simply a hobby of mine. I've always just been fascinated by documenting places and events. Photos are permanent markers in time and can help one recall events and memories. I post my trips here and am considering expanding into general photography projects as well.
