| Dear Third Grade Parents & Third Graders, We are going to start our exams this week. Here's our schedule. This for the third grade class only. 1/16/03 Math Thursday morning 1/17/03 Spelling Friday morning 1/21/03 Reading Tuesday morning 1/22/03 Reading Wednesday morning 1/23/03 English Thursday morning The reason why there's no exam on Monday is because it is Dr. Martin Luther King Day, and there's no school in his honor. I've sent the schedule home along wit the study guide for the Math and Spelling exams. I'll send home the study guides for Reading, Religion, and English on Friday, 1/17/03. Catholic School' s Week is coming up in a couple of weeks. We are going to be working on two special projects. The first is to write about how we as third grade children can be of service to others. The second one is research our ancestors to see what country they came from. So, you'll probably be helping your child on the second project. We will be showing where our ancestors came from on a map of the world. We will start using erasible pen on Monday of Catholic School's Week. That's Jan.27th. Please, get them in black or blue ink. I also want to congratulate Natalie Jackowski for taking The Post Standard Spelling Bee 1st Round Test. She didn't qualify,but she's the first 3rd grade student too try it in many years. She studied hard for the last four or five weeks. Good for you, Natalie! |
