Volshin Culture
The Volshins, agressive as they are, have a very complex culture.  Volshin society is divided into several groups:  The Superior Class, The Ranking Class, The Command Class, The Operations Class, The Worker Class, and the Inferior Class.  These classes all perfrom a certain function within Volshin society, and are composed strictly of males.

The Superior Class.  Composed of the members of the House of Superiors, the House of Ambassadors, and the Volshin Zar.  Members of the Superior Class are born into this group; this is the only way to become a member of this class.  It is the smallest of the Classes.

The Ranking Class.  Composed of all the higher ranking officers in the Volshin Navy, such as Admirals, Commanders, and the head of the Navy, the High Admiral.  Members of the Ranking Class are born into this group, however, the elite of the Command Class can be appointed into this class by the House of Superiors.  This class is relatively small compared to the lower classes.

The Command Class. Composed of the commanding officers in the Volshin Navy, such as Captains, Jr. Commanders, and all other bridge officers.  Members of the Command Class are either born into it, or are promoted into it.  This class is relatively larger than the Ranking Class.

The Operations Class. Composed of all the other crewmembers of a Starhawk, such as engineers, medics, scientists, and military technologists.  Memebers of this class are born into this class, or are demoted from the Command Class if command does not suit their abilities.  This class is larger than the three higher classes combined.

The Worker Class. Composed of the workers of Volshin society, including ship builders, teachers, repairmen, and farmers.  Members of the Worker Class are born into this class, very few are promoted from the Inferior Class.  This is the Largest Class.

The Inferior Class. Composed of all the unlawful.  Volshins are demoted to this class as a severe punishment for disobedience and insubordination.  Offspring of members of this class are evaluated and placed in their proper class.  This class is comparatively the same size as the Ranking Class.

Males and Females have very different roles in Volshin society.  Males are stronger, more agressive, and are the only gender that is divided into classes.  Females are weaker, very placid, and do not fall into classes.  They are generally considered slaves.  Volshin Females cannot hold public office, nor can they perform functions on Starhawks.  Their primary functions are to provide offspring and pleasure to the upper classes.
