ART
Here is where I show off my art practice, and it is just practice at this point. Feel free to e-mail me comments if you like, just please be constructive or supportive, I've only been doing art since the end of October, 2003. Click on the smaller pictures in order to see larger ones.

All of these images start out in a sketchbook and are done with assorted pencils. I sometimes touch them up slightly or add color with the computer.
BAKED ART!
Maybe my art below is less your style, if so click on Baked Art here to see some of the culinary items I've made and photographed.
Made for Me!
Here is a link to a page dedicated to Artwork that I either commisioned or people made for me or somehow involves my character. As of the end of February it's mostly items from Furry Weekend Atlanta.
11-23-2003 :A dragon head I did in pencil and colored on the computer. It's based off of one I found on the web, though it had a beard and head fur, which just isn't me. I thought it came out well and I like the expression.
11-11-2003 I used a lamp I own as the model for this dragon. I like how the tail and head came out the best, though the body needs definite work. This one took quite a few hours to get done and was indeed rather tricky, with all those scales and some of the shading places, but for a first attempt at something so large I think it came out ok. I should have made the scales larger, the actual lamp has less scales than I drew. I only used the computer to darker around the arm slightly and the general figure to make it more viewable on the computer.
11-10-2003 This was my first, serious, Still-life attempt of a composistion setup. So far everyone who has looked at it has been able to figure out what it is in the back, so I must have done an OK job at it. I like the stem here of the wine glass the best, and the cloth came out fair. The dragon hatching in the back was too detailed though, I needed to figure out some way to make it appear detailed with less lines, or else get a lot bigger piece of paper.
12-5-2003  : An attempt at a dragon head that is more similar to what I see my draconic self as. The small image does not do it justice, and the eyes should be more silver than they turned out, but it is hard to give something a metalic look effectively... or at least I am just not sure how.
12-13-2003 : My attempt at a combination of Tigress and aiming to copy a pose and figure from the .hack, Mimiru the Heavy Blade, and had fun with it, plus a little play with photoshop as well for the background. I don't like the head but I do like the rest of the body. I learned a lot in doing this image, in both photoshop experimentation, and in drawing in order to get the image.
12-14-2003 : The Tiger that was a bear? I was actually attempting to draw a tiger face, and was even looking at a photo of a tiger when doing so, but the more I worked it out, the more a bear it became... so it became my first bear attempt, and overall I think well. Both the pencil and full version are there is clicked on to the left. I do like how the background came out, I'll need to remember how I did that.
12-19-2003 : My own attempt at a sketching of Railo, a local fur. This was drawn in the car on the way to and from the airport and I just had to go with general memories. I wanted to give him a look of one eye half opening with a look of "Why did you just disturb me from my rest?" But don't feel I did all that well. Images included are both the Pencil sketch and the full sized color version when clicking on it. This is my first ever piece of fan art to someone too. :)
Dranar from Horizons
3-11-2004 : This is a rendition of the head of my character in Horizons, Dranar. He is a Sslik, a lizardman of sorts. The pic needs some work and I'll probably do more, but putting it up for now.
Click to see it big, if you dare,
4 - 5 - 2004 : Overall, not horribly satisfied, but here it is... I like the legs and feet and the color effects I have for the arms, highlight and shading is good, but form is not so good... had fun with photoshop patterns on it too... I may try shrinking the head from above and using it on the body... hmm, that IS an idea...
Click to see much larger pic. 5-13-2004 : This is for my friend, Kylara, drawn of her... I really need work on bodies and legs, but I am happy with the wings and shading I did, and the figure is from a side view, which is what I was trying for. I do too many slight angles, so this was a practice of a change.
Kylara LJ icon for her
6-9-2004 : This is full size. A live journal icon I made for Kylara to use. Made fully in photoshop, a sketch done on paper to guide by, and then did it completely with mouse. I then animated it up a little bit to for fun. :)
6-14-2004 : Both full size to the left, both fully done by me... a nice LJ icon to tell someone to Kiss their tail about something, made for Kylara.
6-16-2004 : These are some pencil sketchings I did while in class tonight. There is an ear fin, some scales, an eye, some horns, and a clawed hand. They were all pencil and pencil shaded and the scanner does horrid on picking up a lot, but it did a decent job. Would really like to get to figure out how tomake the horns look correct for a more 3D type view. Hand looks good but claws need work... Now if only I could put all these objects together on one image...
Random Sketchings done in Class
July 1st done.
6-30-2004 : Done in class in notebook. Body is not at all great, and those chest scales are like the TMNT, and the arms are like gumby.. but the head and wings are ok, though more pointed and jagged to wings than I like, but it's what came out. Decided to put it up here for amusement.
Pictures below are where I've had fun doing snippets of animation! Art is not my own.
My LJ Icon.
For Kitshera, Happy Birthday!
