Catherston June Bug
Bugsy came to me with CS Equinox and CS Cassiopeia. I bought all three when the old Catherston Stud in the now-closed game Horse Fever was downsizing. Never once have I regretted my buy, and in fact, these three are the main reason I now breed Fell Ponies! Bugsy is a very dedicated and gentle pony, and so easy and safe to handle that we could leave her in the care of a group of 5 year old kids (which we often do!) and nothing untoward will happen. She is a great friend of Cass, and the two make a great pony driving pair in harness. Bugsy, like most of her kind, is also gifted with natural Fell Pony intelligence, and the uncanny ability to sense danger.
Interestingly, however, she also seems to have a very theraupatic effct on our foals and more nervous horses, who seem to absolutely enjoy being in her presence. It is a common sight at Rhegedale to see Bugsy, Cass and Valora standing together under one of the old oaks, with three or four younger horses sprawled around them on the ground, dozing. She is just as quiet and gentle in the show ring, and her rock-solid, businesslike nature has made her a popular ride with many of our young riders.
