Goytvalley Night Magic

Nite is a full sister to the champion stallion, Goytvalley Magic Minstrel, and we're proud to have such fine bloodlines in our stables. She is the true example of what I call a "funny Fell". Nite is very playful and energetic, and her sense of humour is simply atrocious! She'll grab your hat and run off with it, delibrately knock down the helmet you finally managed to balance on the fence, or even purposefully push you around the paddock just for fun! Nite's playful character extends even to the other ponies. She often walks up and nips at their shoulders or head-butts them before trotting off, her head bowed and ears tipped back slightly, the very picture of innocence. Sometimes, however, the other ponies will give chase, and then any person standing nearby will be treated to an interesting spectacle of pony-go-round!

Sometimes we get people who remark that "that pony should act her age!". But then we will reply that Nite is also very intelligent, so smart that she can read your body language like an open book. She knows when you mean business, and when she sees that you're serious about things she'll let you catch and work her easily without a fuss. She has three great gaits...when you can convince her to show them. She often seems to prefer using her fourth and fastest gait in almost any situation, but in the showing arena she can often be persuaded to forego galloping for a more dignified outlook. She also loves jumping, and seems to get a kick from every jump she sails over. One can almost see her staring down at the jump as she clears it, as if to say "Aha! I got you!". Someone once said that she appears to lose concentration when she does that, but as she hasn't crashed into anything yet, we'll continue to jump her (and keep an eye on her as well). We look forward to many more happy years with our wonderful "funny Fell".
