It starts when we are born And continues throughout life Ever changing and ever growing Two lovers become one And then in time Become husband and wife That that still leaves A need to be fulfilled And their become mom and dad And a son and then A daughter come To light up our life Sister and brother become Good friends and protector Of each other So strong is the love in this family And in time an empty nest Cries for the delight of little ones Yet again and a new chapter Of life begins again And the family changes once more As grandchildren renew our lives With laughter and song And antics of delight |
